Kat and I lunched at Ashley's...not one of our usual haunts, and when I looked at the menu, I remembered why. Had a patty melt and baked potato, underwhelming, definitely NOT worth $10, IMO. The atmosphere is...intriguing. The building is Tudoresque, dates back to the late 1800's---which around here is *very* old---and is alledged to be haunted. You couldn't prove it by me!

We also dropped by the Book Xchange, where they've been holding a couple things for me. I was hoping to find some Mary Kay Andrews I hadn't already read, but no such luck. The proprietor found it highly amusing that I was searching for chick lit and at the same time, buying a book about Ebola. (What?! I have a kink for epidemics. And one of these days, I may write another Burning Zone fic.)

G'ma's apartment is being sorted and sold off---she gave her notice, thinking she was going to stay with her son in Seattle, but changed her mind after she got there. Unfortunately, her apartment was rented in the interim, so she's going to have to move back in with Kat, who is SO not happy about that. *fingers crossed that G'ma changes her mind again and stays with her son, because really, Kat doesn't need the stress*

I've gained a tall, solid wood bookcase and a narrow shelf unit that BC is going to haul over here Wednesday morning, for a consideration...also some hangers, and a nice gilt picture frame that's earmarked for the boudoir.
