Although The Crack!fic-That-Grew-a-Plot has dominated the last 24 hours, I got a lot of RL stuff done yesterday/Monday afternoon. Cashed that rebate check, got gas in my tank, visited the day-old bread store and the grocery store, and everywhere I went, I had lovely cheerful conversations, because it was so pleasant to talk to normal people who don't expect me to DO anything for them.

Because it's Week Two of mandatory overtime, I'll be working for the next five days. Next week will be a normal week, then the following week, unless they do something absolutely fiendish with the schedules, I should have Sunday-Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday off, and possibly the same for the following week, although I'm not positive about that. (That would be 57 varieties of awesome.)

I chatted up Thunderbunny Sunday evening (after lunch with [livejournal.com profile] missybrat---they work together. She's another friend/former co-worker who I fell out of touch with when The Commute began.) We're making plans to run around Friday morning---she has Fridays off---because she has a truck, and I'll be able to do the recycling and the used book store in one fell swoop, as my mama used to say. I offered her lunch and gas money, since Friday is payday, so I'll actually have cash money, and we can schmooze while we're running around. Yay!
