At 10:30, the siren call of pizza proved too seductive for me to endure. I ran down the road to Little Cesar, where I procured a no-frills pepperoni.

"You're not supposed to sell those to her!" said a familiar voice behind me as I was tucking away my change. It was Mb's on-and-off SO.

"You don't tell on me, I won't tell on you," I shot back.

I zipped on home and settled in to watch Cary Grant and Constance Bennett in "Topper". It's so gloriously Art Deco, though The Car (a fabulous Auburn Cord) would be worth it in and of itself.

Where did Little Caesar's move to? Used to be on Dixon but I didn't know there was one still around.
Can't beat it for $5.

Thanks! I pass by there many times per week and never noticed! I can get one of their cheese pizzas and bring home and embelish with mushrooms and other goodies~ we actually love anchovies.

Caelie and I are waiting on a stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut as I write this. Sometimes the siren call is just too strong to ignore!

And I *love* that deco car!!

I hate to admit it, but right now, my kitchen is the worst it's *ever* been. The sink runneth over, the counter is so piled up I can't even get to the microwave, so I'm pretty much subsisting on take-out, sandwiches and junk food. And yet, I don't have the energy to do anything about it. I walk in there, look at it, shake my head and retreat.

The culprit is most likely the heat. I know you're used to it (to a point) but muggy heat makes me lethargic and sleepy and just... MEH.

At the moment, yes. But it didn't get this way overnight. I'm talking MONTHS.

I felt guilty leaving a pot to soak in the sink last night! Dirty dishes are my pet peeve~ presents a bit of a health risk, too.
Get in there and wash those dishes!!!

Sure, let me just go and rent a pressure washer.

Wanna hear something ironic? I've got the Hoarding: Buried Alive marathon going in the background.

Honestly? The thought has crossed my mind. And I know it's wasteful, but I've been wanting to replace my flatware for ages. Then it would "only" be a matter of washing the dishes and pyrex.
