One of my best Xmas presents ever was a faux fur cat pillow my Aunt Elsie gave me when I was 8. (I don't think she made it, I think she got it at a church bazaar/craft fair). It was a circle with two triangles for ears, felt eyes and nose with a chain-stitched mouth. I slept with that thing until I was in high school, at least, and had it up til the time I cleared things out to leave Florida. Don't underestimate how much love your gifts may get!
I wanted to get into crafting for Christmas, but it's not happening this year. Still too much clutter. I'm tinkering with my Swedish weaving, but so far I'm just experimenting. Still, it's nice to be doing something with my hands besides faffing about on my tablet.
