April showers

It's raining this afternoon, which is fine with me; it means I don't have to haul water for the hydrangeas. Everything will get saturated for a change, not just a gallon of water dribbled from one end of the bed to the other.

It's really coming down. I don't have to go anywhere or do anything, so that's fine. It means I'll have to get it mowed again that much sooner, but knock wood, the January freeze SEEMS to have killed off the sawgrass. Considering what a pain in the ass it's been over the years, I'd do it again just for that. I know, bite my tongue, right?

Sometimes it's GOOD when there's nothing going on....

I might do something like that in my backyard---or indeed, ANYTHING with my backyard---if my damned sliding glass doors actually slid. They're frozen in place, and while it could probably be fixed by taking them down and cleaning the mechanism and the tracks, *I* don't have the strength to do it myself, and I can't get any help, so....

That sounds like a job for the ever-popular BC--- see if you can't talk him into it! He's strong like bull according to you...

Another tip: a lot of time those doors will loosen up if you spray some WD 40 on the sliding part.

Note to self, snag some WD40....
