Miss Rosie is fine as can be and growing like a weed. She's probably going to be a tweenie -- between mini and standard -- because she already weighs ten pounds. Her "feathers" are coming in on her legs, body and tail, and she's just so cute.
She was sick with an infection when we got her and now that's cleared up, but her platelets are still low and she has to take steroids for two weeks to build them up. We're hoping next month she'll be well enough to be spayed. She and Ollie Cat get along well and actually play a little together, but Zip still hates her. Well, Zip hates everything and everyone but me, so that's no surprise. :D
Despite that legendary doxie stubborn streak, she's made great strides on house training and goes to the door to whine and scratch when she needs to be let out. I taught her sit and stay and we're working on "shake hands," which is tough because she's so wiggly. But she's proven to be very smart, so she'll get it eventually.
