Yes, it’s permu. When I got here, I naively assumed that I’d get therapy for as long as I needed it. Not so! Medicare cuts you off once they deem you have reached your maximum potential. I’ve had a doctor tell me I’ll never walk again. (And I blush to admit, I need a brief, which is nursing home-speak for a diaper. I need support to sit up; my core. Thankfully my hands work (which they aren’t shaking) and I haven’t lost too many of my marbles. Memory retrieval is compromised, things are apt to come back minutes or hours later.
