An Alaskan vacation sounds good

Cold shower is my friend. Not to quell my libido, but so that I don't pant like an overheated polar bear in the nearly-midnight-and-still-88F temps. This does not bode well for August.

I am very much looking forward to my sojourn in Schnauzerland. S & T have a hot tub. I firmly intend to leave the heater turned OFF and import a half-dozen bags of ice and enjoy some hypothermia for a change. Hot flashes are bad enough. Hot flashes during Florida summer are ghastly.

In nine days, I'll be at the C's---in A/C, and AI's computer is far and away better than S's prima donna. In twelve---okay, technically more like 13 days, since it'll be Sunday before I actually GET to Schnauzerland. Between the two---10 days of A/C, huzzah!

If I could go outside/to work naked without getting arrested or fired, I would.

I totally understand - I am completely NON-FUNCTIONAL during the summer if I don't have A/C. Never mind the pregnancy...

I swear, at the rate things are going, there's going to be a big pop-sizzle sound and I'm going to turn into a big ol' pile of pork rinds. I HATE summer.

I like summer better than winter....but only if the a/c is working. And I can go out on the balcony and lie in the sun and do NOTHING.

Granted in winter there is a point where I grumble about constantly having cold fingers and toes, but at least then you can layer. In summer, there's only so much you can take off. I just came back from getting groceries, and I was sorely tempted to climb inside the ice cream case and stay there for an hour or two.

*agrees* Truly, spring and fall are my fave seasons.

Here, it's basically October thru April---the non-melting months.

Well, that's not TOO bad...
