In fact, it's TONIGHT that brings us a new season of The Cleaner. Sometimes paying attention to commercials is a Good Thing.

The DVR may be FUBAR, but I have a good old-fashioned VCR, a tape that's blank enough, and I know how to set the durn thing. I may be somewhat challenged as far as newfangled stuff like iPods and text messaging, but I am NOT a 12:00 flasher!*

* "12:00 flasher" refers to a classic routine called "Internet Help Desk" by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie---it doubled me up laughing every time I heard it, since I've been in customer service enough to really appreciate it. I wish I knew what happened to my copy!

My VCR bit the dust ages ago - I'm not sure I could even program one any more. I think i would go into withdrawal if my DVR was on the blink. ;p

I much prefer DVR as far as ff through the commercials go, but VHS is better than nothing.

I downloaded "Internet Help Desk" years ago, I think it was lost in a harddrive crash, because I don't have it anymore or I'd be happy to share.
