I'm officially terminated. I've been expecting it for the past couple of weeks; I'm just glad to finally have it over with.

Oh honey! Big virtual hug, so I don't pass on any of my nasty germs. Hopefully the termination was not with extreme prejudice and carried some kind of severance.

Soooo...where do you go from here? Or is it too soon to even think about that?

The notice of termination I got was so worded in corporate doublespeak that I honestly don't know what's going on. I'll go down to the unemployment office within the next couple days, but I don't know if they'll give me benefits or not. If they don't---I may have to take the first thing that's offered, regardless of my preferences.

I have a few ideas, I have some leads, but right now, I just want to breathe for a little while. I slept for 10 hours last night, as a sign of how the suspense had me on edge---although I'm decaffeinating, which also may have something to do with it.

Decaf detox. OY! I've gotten back into the sugar, but thank god so far not the caffeine. On the other hand I had I do the oh-so-ladylike move of swigging Nyquil right out of the bottle last night just to get some sleep.
