According to Yahoo News, "The number of newly laid-off workers filing claims for jobless benefits dropped last week, and the number of people remaining on the rolls also fell, evidence that layoffs have eased."

Yeah, right. Leave it to me to buck a trend like that.

Still no answer about my benefits, although I got a lovely card from socialhermit with polar bears and a president. Thanks, honey!

I'm officially terminated. I've been expecting it for the past couple of weeks; I'm just glad to finally have it over with.

The long-running soap opera that has been my job is ended; I was called into the boss's office shortly after noon today and told that I was being let go. Speculating on who, exactly, was behind the campaign of complaints serves no purpose. It's over, period.

Now I will put together a new resume and to match dates with places worked. I'll try to evaluate my assets and present them gracefully to potential employers.
