Soon!

Just heard from PJ---they're on the ground, and will probably be here in about a half-hour. Which means this will be my final post on the speedy computer with the keyboard that doesn't stick on the "k" key---if you ever read that I 'now' something, it means I am cognizant of a fact, was typing rapidly and either didn't catch or can't be arsed to fix the error.

Despite the lethargic nature of my CPU, and the fact that I sadly *don't* have Cubis Gold installed---I have been playing maniacally all week---I'll be glad to get home to my own quiet corner of the universe. I'm going to hunker down, watch the Oscars and not feel self-conscious in my surroundings. And then, I'm going to take a muscle relaxer before bed, turn off the ringer on the phone, and sleep until I'm rested in my own lovely, comfortable bed.

There's no place like home!

AMEN to that!

And that part of it really was great. I slept for about 9 hours, and it was heavenly. Queen-sized bed beats double-wide futon every time. Especially when the futon has foot rails---I had to sleep catty-corner to fix lengthwise!

Cubis Gold=Heroin! There is NOTHING more addictive.

It's true. I was up over 3 million in the "random levels" mode. (Saving every few levels just in case.)

I can't believe I finally learned to play it semi-effeciently on a touch-pad mouse, although I'm pretty sure I've lost several layers of skin on my index finger in the process.

Another thing I like about AI's computer, speed aside---she has the same model of track-ball mouse I've got at home.

I like my own home as I can be the slob that I am without worry. I also don't sleep as well in beds other than mine.

The fact that they have a cleaning lady and that their place is SO clean intimidates the heck out of me. I don't even want to do any hardcore cooking there in case something spatters.

My bed is a lot more comfortable, and my bedroom isn't so darned bright in the morning, even though it faces east. (Trees. Trees are good.)
