fufaraw: umbrella dance (Rain)

Sounds like a productive week in other ways, as well. I hear you on the dental woes. It looks like I have dentistry in my future, as well. Implants? Well, surely, if I was made of money and had a longer life expectancy. But the gaps where teeth have been pulled mean remaining teeth are drifting and becoming loose, and to halt, or at least slow that, there needs to be something in the gaps. I'm reluctant to crown perfectly good, functional teeth to anchor bridges, though. So we shall have to see what other methods are available.

I culled our books pretty ruthlessly when we moved from NC to PNW nine years ago, and chafed *a lot* while the ones we kept and moved with us sat in towers of boxes in closets and corners until shelf location was agreed on, and shelves installed last summer. At long last! As I started unpacking and being both realistic and ruthless again, I culled another seven small U-haul boxes of books--mostly popular fiction, which went straight to the local civic library. They were mostly thrilled, and what didn't get shelved with them went into the annual library sale, so we felt good about it. But shelving, sorting, shuffling, and reshelving went on for a couple of months. I love looking at the books, but as I sit here, I'm recognizing books neither of us will ever pick up and open again. It's actually painful letting them go, though!

Good luck with all your shelving. Just...don't crack one and start reading in the middle of everything. Not that I would know anything about that....
