Bitching and baking...
Apr. 6th, 2006 09:00 pmWas called "you people" three times today... This whole work-week has just been infuriating: nobody has simple problems---either they expect me to fix their long-standing problem in five minutes, or they've got a plethora of accounts that they want to review in detail. We are short-handed as it is, since they haven't yet replaced the individual who got the first job that was posted. (And on that note, the bimbo in the Corporate Office hasn't even posted the second job yet, so it's going to be AT LEAST two more weeks before I can possibly start that. That may make it easier on my successor, since they'll be starting at the end of the month when call traffic is usually lighter...of course, it means that that much more stuff will have piled up in the other job. *eyeroll*)
This weekend, I'm going to see how much food I can get prepared. (Because frankly, I'm getting kinda tired of eggs....) My pantry is down to things that actually have to be cooked, so to reduce stress next week, I think the best solution is to fix as much as I can ahead of time, then just pull it out and heat it when I'm hungry. Things like the muffins I've been having for breakfast; they're quite nice after 30 seconds in the microwave.
It's a question of what's on hand, because I just invested my last $2 in the office lotto pool.
( $42 million! ) That means beans, spaghetti and tuna in creative juxtaposition!
