I don't usually commit such flagrant exclamation point abuse, but this makes me *happy*. Two, maybe three more installments at most, and "It Takes One to Know One" will be complete. (That's in terms of writing, not posting.) Considering what a four-star pain-in-the-ass it's been, I'm awfully pleased by that. I had no idea what a well-traveled fandom it was when I started--this was just supposed to be a little throw-away story to get Riddick out of my system so I could concentrate on something else.

What happened? First, I got bitched at left, right and center because the chapters were "too short". Excuse the fuck out of me, it said, right there in the summary: "Experimental. Chapters are double drabble length." Period. I kept posting. They stopped bitching. They didn't stop reading. Now, somehow, this little literary equivalent of a science project has garnered more hits than what I consider to be my "good stuff". I'm not sure whether to be overjoyed or indignant.

At this rate, maybe I *will* try to hammer out a "Mature" version of that Riddick/Blade Runner crossover. Because if that piddly little serial rocked their socks, I'd *love* to see what happens when you throw sex and drugs into the mix.

Meanwhile...today I coughed up something that may grow into a House, M.D. fic. 1700 words, nothing huge. I've got some ideas for a story arc, I just need to get more familiar with canon.

Note to self, I also need to get "Batman Begins" back from Dan & Marina....
