Why do I do these things?!

I just went and posted a second chapter of "Flying Towards Destiny", despite the fact that I'm up to my ass in other projects and have very little actually written for it. (Like I need another committment?!) I suppose I know if I *don't* post, I'm more likely to let it slip between the cracks...and I'm rather enjoying the two of them.

Oh well, it could be worse. I *didn't* make any claims in that new hurt-comfort community I joined yesterday. (2dozenowies) I thought about it...I have an idea for something that would fit the category and highly unlikely to be claimed by multiple people---but I'm going to hold off and see how I feel after I've got my duerbp stories in. In unrelated news, yesterday I also rewatched the Jools episodes of MI5. I'm definitely NOT letting THAT slip through the cracks!

This afternoon, I packed up all my cans and went down to the recycling yard, and they were bloody *closed*. Grrr. On the other hand, I came home and found another bag of cans that I missed the first time---worth just about enough to pay for the gas that driving out there for nothing cost me.

Another two months of summer. Gawd, the downside to living in Florida is watching the mercury in the thermometer go up....
