Other People's Computers, Day Three
Sep. 10th, 2006 03:05 pmToday, the library is hosting this session of "Let's give 'Fluffy her e-fix". karaokegal. Not squeeing was very, very difficult; it is highly squee-worthy.
R. from church (D's husband) works on computers and thinks he can get me a FREE network card to replace the one that got fried Thrusday, if I can wait. Free, as in, it's NOT going to cost me $25-30 at Circuit City and he'll install it? Hell yeah, I'll wait. It's not going to kill me to wait. It's probably a good thing. Now I have an even better reason to get my rump up and out the door in the morning...no e-mail to check and reply to unless I go find a connection.
Birthday was good. Hung out at B's, played on her computer, talked about her upcoming wedding in November---she asked me to craft a necklace for her to wear with her dress. It's a fairly simple gown, for a wedding on the beach, and she wants a three-strand choker with pearls, shells and a sand dollar as the focal point. Can do!
