Gearing up

I've done the stack of dishes in the sink and started a load of laundry. Oh, what a feeling of accomplishment!

Even though I could, in theory, run home for anything I especially need this week, the odds of me doing so are slim. ($4 worth of gas? I don't think so!) So...plan ahead. Whatever I wear to church tomorrow can double as a "good" outfit to interview in, if I need it. Some shorts for beach walks, one or two loose things to wear around the house, and some lingerie...not nearly as much crap as I had to drag over there last time, when I had a 40-hr a week job and had to wear clothes every day.

(I can totally identify with the house elf POV most of the time: "Not clothes!" It's Florida, and I have no A/C, so most of the time, when I'm home, I'm au naturale. TMI? Sorry.)

Note to self, pack toiletries, and take your own towel---S. tends to use the most heavily perfumed laundry detergent she can find, plus so much fabric softener that if you use even an old, raggy towel to wipe your windshield, it'll leave greasy streaks behind. I prefer unscented detergent. I don't want to smell perfume, I want to smell clean.
