I love my new coat. I haven't figured out yet who it makes me feel like, but damn, I look good in it. It has the kind of collar with a buttonhole on the label, so it can be worn formally "all buttoned up", or more casually folded down. The length is good, the fit is tolerable---I could stand to lose a few pounds, but what else is new?

I need the right hat to go with it, though. The only denim hat I have is a baseball cap, and this cries out for something more emphatic. (Without a hardware store logo.) As usual, eBay to the rescue---they're calling the kind of thing I'm looking for cadet caps---although the phrase "Castro cap" could conjure the right image for my older readers. The tricky part will be finding one that *isn't* distressed, because this coat isn't.

Accessories are SO important...!
