After patchy sleep yesterday---I woke at 6:42, finally got back to sleep two hours later, and awakened for good an hour after that---I went to church, where R. gave an overview of biorhythms--SO 70s!

Despite my malaise, I asked AI about organizing the clothing swap at church---we're overdue for one. I have stuff that needs to go, and B has asked about it as well---she lost weight for the wedding, and has kept it off, go her! There's sure to be a wide range of sizes---from size 10 thru 22, clear up to my size (3-4x, 28-32).

It isn't for UU members only; there will either be a cover charge, or a contribution of X number of garments. We're going to try VERY HARD to prevent a recurrance of the last swap, where one individual snagged a whole bunch of stuff, regardless of size, and resold it on eBay. The idea is that any leftovers are going to be donated, so theoretically, one would arrive with 20 items and leave with 5. Previously, the surplus went to an organization that helps runaways, but this time, we're talking about one of those rejoining-the-workforce services. A fun afternoon and a good cause!

Our afternoon tarot class covered the Major Arcana---I confess, I haven't kept up with the homework as I should---and by the time I got home, I was practically cross-eyed. I finally yielded to Florida in June and turned on the window a/c unit in my room for the first time this year and napped for three hours.

Better now.

Got motivated to work on my room, specifically the SE corner. Found more stray socks, books, stray phone cords, an extension cord, etc. Dust bunnies galore. B has said that we have to finish my bedroom before doing the boudoir or the biblioteca. Well, then...the stray thought has occurred to me that if---big IF---I can get the room thoroughly cleaned in the next week and a half and get the supplies, that maybe I can get GK to help me paint it. (She was my partner in crime---and I DO mean crime!---in painting it its currently unlovely shade of chocolate pudding brown, so helping to close the book on that hue would be fitting.)

Now I need to go clear things off my bed so I can crawl into it....

Pairing: mention of Sam/OFC
Rating/Work-safeness: PG --- minor language, implied sex
Approximate word count: 2,500
Disclaimer: If Kripke has a beef with me, send him over to my place. We'll talk.
Summary: [livejournal.com profile] starhawk2005 handed me this plot bunny during a mundane discussion of the frog population in Florida. In return, I've rolled every frog cliché I could think of into some cracktastic fluffiness just for her!

I'll give you a $20 tip if you'll kiss my frog. )

Note to self---stop throwing stuff over top of bedroom door in lieu of hanging it up. Today as I was opening said door---most of the time it's open, UNLESS I have the a/c running, and I turned it on for the firrst time this season yesterday---the screws holding the top hinge pulled loose.

I ended up having to MacGyver it---fill in the old holes with bits of bamboo skewer and household glue, let dry, and meanwhile, rummage out some slightly longer screws.

So it's hanging properly now, and the a/c is back on. It's always something!

The OMG retro topic of biorhythms (discussed at church yesterday) inspired me to pen a list of things that said '70's to me. And I'm sure that members of my f'list who are of a certain age will have contributions of their own to make!

A dark green Ford Gran Torino, circa 1970, parked at the BK at 520/I-95. Sighted while grabbing lunch with Kat before going back to her place to watch Madagascar.

I also picked up a bumper sticker there, because I *had* to:

The End of an Error

Heheheh. Think about it!
