D-day (D is for Deposit)

My bank balance is in the black, thank the deity of your choice. Granted, it's only $82 (to last until 9/21), and about half of it is going into my gas tank. But! I have meds, I have provisions---my major concern is my cable bill, but I suspect I'll end up doing something creative with a check. (I know---that's how I got into this mess---but if I'm NOT overdrawn when it hits and it's only the one check, it'll do a finite amount of damage.) Everything else was paid with my last check (the other reason I got clobbered!), so it's manageable.

I confirmed that my "vacation" next week is a go---Sun thru Weds off---and I may not be able to afford anything amazing, but legitmate, guilt-free time off is a Good Thing, especially since it's likely to be the last such I get until after the holidays. And I can think of plenty of free diversions---reading and writing and TV and laundry and cleaning---although the first three of that list are the most likely!
