Last spasms of birthdayness
Sep. 11th, 2007 08:45 pmLunched with Kat at China Garden...their buffet is decent, and it's a convenient location for us both. Afterward, I zipped up to the industrial park and cashed in still more cans. Eight pounds, which is probably the last of them for a while. There may be a few behind/under things, but the mother lode has tapped out.
From there, I headed over to Barnes & Noble. By this time, it was 2:30-ish, and I wasn't expecting to meet AI til 5, which gave me ample time to finish reading Lean, Mean Thirteen, the most recent Evanovich. I also got through the first nine chapters of Michael Tolliver Lives; I may spend tomorrow afternoon finishing that, if I'm feeling naughty. (Since I really ought to do laundry....)
AI dined me at Longhorns---big surprise, I had the salmon!---and she bought me a dragon! It's gold and stuffed; I was admiring it as she was looking at something or other in the kids' section, and she bought it for me. Huzzah! I've Impressed a fire-lizard at last!
