Machination of the Uber-Boss

Today was intense. We have two people in our department who are out---one's on vacation, the other had some kind of surgery---and Uber-BitchBoss has been trying to scare up people for OT. She pounced on me on Tuesday---I literally hadn't been there for five minutes before she came up with her damned clipboard and tried to get me to commit to OT. Aside from the fact that I was on a call at the time, I consider the fucking commute to be unpaid overtime, enough already. I stalled her.

I fretted about it for 48 hours...enough that I managed to lock myself out of the house and had to break in for my car keys this afternoon. The first thing I did when I got in was to approach my boss (She-Boss), and let her know that Uber-Boss was being a bully and badgering me about OT. Apparently, I'm one of several people who've complained about it, and as I told She-Boss, if/when I can get the work-from-home thing organized, yeah, I'll probably take what I can get for OT, but until then, no can do.

They're doing things to the software---one of our main systems was down, so I had to manually place a couple of orders (meaning I don't get credit for them in my stats, though neither of them was gonzo) before it came back online. VERY busy day---11 order that I can count, and 4 of them were multi-hundred dollar orders! Sold a Le Snobbi bag, quite a few Brand X jeans, a few pieces from Pelts Leathermore, and even a pair of Fitnazi shoes---because both the people who are out are people who usually handle footwear. Grrr!

I'm WAY tired. Off to bed now, TTFN....
