80s music? Quick--brain bleach!
Oct. 3rd, 2007 01:00 amThe partner training today (new company, hereby known as SurferGirl) involved sitting through several videos, including one with a remake: "I ran, I ran so far awaaay---" WTF? Wasn't that by "A Flock of Seagulls"---certainly one of the most peculiar band names of its era?
If I'm right, I'm going to be rather weirded out, since my affinity for 80s music leans more towards hair bands and heavy metal. (Except for Oingo-Boingo, who I saw in concert several times.) Metallica. Megadeth. Judas Priest. Iron Maiden. Dio, Dokken, White Lion, Great White, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Poison, Faster Pussycat, Quiet Riot, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper. (Not KISS---in the 80s, KISS was plastic, not metal.) Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Guns 'n' Roses, LA Guns, Badlands, Fastway, W*A*S*P*, Circus of Power, Wall of Voodoo, Motorhead, Danzig, GWAR, Cinderella.
And that's just off the top of my head. I am SUCH a geek!
EDIT: Queensryche...how the hell did I forget Queensryche?!
