vanillafluffy: (Polar bear tongue)
A cold front has moved in---I currently have the window open in my office and it's 57F. Zesty! OMG, after six months of roasting temps, this makes me deliriously happy. I'm wearing a cozy flannel shirt (and ONLY a flannel shirt, sorry if that's TMI!) and I feel weirdly energetic.

I rather hope it keeps up til tomorrow---I have a lunch date with newly rediscovered high school buddy Red and another friend, and I'd love to be able to wear the black coat I picked up last April (much too late for last winter, but it was MY SIZE and had an absurdly low price). Although I do have a fairly comprehensive winter wardrobe....

Gee, it looks like the cooler temps have brought out my adverbs!

vanillafluffy: (Turkey)
I've exchanged the toaster, done massive shopping, manic from the the weather and can't stop smiling. For the first time, I wished I had to commute today, cos it's such a beautiful day for a drive. Saw a restored Maverick, painted screaming Kelly green, wanted to decorate it for the holidays---tartan seatcovers and a wreath with shiny red balls on the grille.

Contributed to the first Salvation Army bell-ringer of the season, got out to the car with my booty---I MUST clear out the trunk, I could barely get my groceries in there (admittedly, the toaster took up a fair amount of room)---got in, and had a plot bunny decend on me like an avalanche. Fuck-bugger, I did NOT need that!

I still need to pick up a turkey breast. I'm not cooking a whole turkey for myself, but because I have Wednesday and Thursday off, and therefore have time to make preparations, I'm planning to cook like a fiend (since I can always package the surplus for later). Go, me!
