Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.

[livejournal.com profile] strangevisitor7 asked me these questions:

1) Dean, Sam or John?
John, Bobby, Dean. In that order.

2) Still decaffinating? If not, what's is your poison?
Yes, but otherwise, Diet Coke with Lime.

3) Which piece of your own fiction are you most proud of?
Oooh, tough one. Bad Fairy was the most complicated, but I think for character development and a really wild ride, Clockwork Mexico gets it. (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2244540/1/Clockwork_Mexico)

4) What was the last book you read?
The Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne

5) Who would be your five dream dinner companions, real or fictional?
After considerable thought, it came to me at 4 AM: my friends [livejournal.com profile] kukkurkurat and [livejournal.com profile] mojavedragonfly---neither of whom I've ever met in person---and some characters from the fandom that brought us together, Once Upon a Time in Mexico: El Mariachi, Agent Sheldon Sands, and my own OFC, Kate Martin.

I just hope Sands doesn't shoot the cook. (Inside joke.)

Okay, so it didn't literally rain fish this afternoon, but we *did* have a thunderstorm, which is unusual for January. I prudently unplugged my modem and did a few gainful things around the house: moved the white chair from the middle room in here, because there's room, O joy of joys!, and this is its intended destination. Relegated the Le Snobbi bag to the shelf of the closet in there, at least for now. Made a batch of gingerbread from scratch---I forgot to add the raisins I bought specifically for that purpose, so I'll have to make more soon.

You know what I did as soon as I got it into the oven? I cleaned up the kitchen behind me! There are chicken breast fillets thawing for dinner later (and one for tomorrow night), any my afternoon snack was sugar-free, low-fat vanilla yogurt and dried fruit.

Tomorrow, I'm taking my car in to have its master cylinder looked at. Hooray! It HAS to be done, since training in Melbourne looms in the next few weeks.

I also took some sloth-time to watch a chunk of Boys on the Side, which I'd never seen, but since I recently found out James Remar (see icon) was in it, I was interested. My god, I think that's the first time I've actually seen him play a good guy. And *almost* have a sex scene! Rrrow!

And BotS has Whoopi Goldberg in it, and I've liked her since she was doing stand-up on HBO. I remember when Jumping Jack Flash, her first movie, came out, and S and I spent the early afternoon doing shots---I won!---and got her mom to take us to see it by bribing her with the offer of Chinese food afterward. In those days, our favorite place was Rickshaw's, run by some friends of hers. I was hungry by then, but when the food got to our table, S turned green and fled to the car. We got her order to go.

Okay, enough pointless rambling, time to go sample some warm gingerbread!
