Don't hate me because I'm in Florida
Mar. 5th, 2008 07:10 pmToday has been busy: I borrowed Kat's van yesterday to go down to Melbourne. I went and picked her and her mom (who will be 94 this August) for lunch---mom wasn't part of the equation, but what can you do? We went to China Garden, gorged, went next door to Big Lots.
The ONE thing I wanted to get at BL was some seeds to start for the little bed in front of my front terrace. I spent ten minutes combing the haphazardly set up gardening area, and finally went and asked a cashier, who said they didn't have them yet, it was too early. *eyeroll*
Kat dropped me off at my place---the plan was, she was going to take her mom home and come back to use my phone, since she only has a cell and needed to make a bunch of business calls. (The kind with the push-button menu of doom: If you want to be shot by a firing squad, press 1. If you prefer to walk the plank, press 2. If you'd rather be drawn and quartered, press 3. For electrocution, please stay on the line while we build up a charge of current. Etc.)
My original plan was to clean out the rest of the car. I didn't. In keeping with my feelings of Spring having sprung, I whacked back the jasmine some more---I'll be astounded if it blooms this year!---yanked up another mess of ferns---and scrubed the bricks of the terrace with bleach and water.
Kat got side-tracked; by the time I'd finished all that, she showed up, so I led her to the phone and went and showered, because ICK.
After she departed, I logged on to 8 emails---y'all DO love me!
