My labors

I worked on the car after brunch. Spent about an hour pitching cans and rewiring the muffler. Got another full bag of cans, which makes four, total, and realized that the recycling place isn't opened to the public on Monday, and by the time they're open tomorrow, I'll be in Melbourne. The sensible thing to do is stash the bags in my garage and turn them in Wednesday.

The exhausting part, no pun intended, was wiring up the muffler, which had developed a pronounced sag lately. I've done the proceedure before, when I was driving S's Camaro *sigh!*, but not all cars are created equal. I had a bitch of a time finding something to wire it TO, but proved my mad hanger skillz in the end.

To give myself something to look forward to, I've applied for and been granted a few hours off in the middle of Friday evening, 3/28, for our next movie night at church. It's one of my favorite movies of all time: Logan's Run. Yes, it looks awfully cheesy in light of today's f/x, but back in the day.... I still have the soundtrack on vinyl somewhere, and it was the very first movie I bought on DVD, even before I owned a DVD player of my own.

Dinner is going to be something like a tuna casserole, since I finished off the last of the meatballs. (I got dibs on some leftover croissants from hospitality yesterday and made baby meatball sandwiches with them with a smidge of parmesan.)

I figure I can finish the car later this evening. Hopefully, it'll be a bit cooler. If I really have my act together, I can get my roots touched up this evening. And maybe do some laundry, because I've barely dented the stuff GK and I unearthed in the garage, let alone my own personal accumulation. It's always something!
