This has been a long freaking day. Two hours of training*, a gap, and a full shift, so basically I was in Melbourne for twelve solid hours, and I'm ded. The last hour and a half, it was just me and Larry the Leprechaun (Help Desk), and thank God for that, because they were off the chain tonight. What a pack of freaks!

Tomorrow I go in an hour early for Trendicrap training---yawn. After a half dozen of their visits, I know how it'll go: they'll tell us what color PINK is this season and give us some cheesy gift, usually their latest "free with purchase" promo.

Friday is supposed to be a normal shift, then I'm off Saturday. I still don't know what's going on with S & T's trip...I'll bite the bullet and call them tomorrow for an update. (It will not break my heart if it's been called off.)

And now I'm going to bed. Good night, y'all!

* Training was "Who Moved My Cheese?", which is about adapting to change. There was a cute little animated feature and a group discussion. I may talk more about it later, when I'm semi-conscious and coherent.

Today, I learned that my car has a little light on the dash that comes one when I'm down to my last gallon of gas...with my fubared schedule this week, I wasn't paying attention until I saw the light. Coasted in to work on fumes.

Trendicrap training was average, for them. The big topic was this fall's jeans. Casual Boss tried to put me on the spot during the "issue" part of the session, but NO, I wasn't going to be the one to say, "Look, this bullshit with no free shipping codes is a four-star pain-in-the-ass, will you bozos please loosen up? You're killing us." Nope. I like my job, most of the time, even though this week has been pure shit.

Called S during my lunch break, and their trip is still on, apparently. She said she was trying to pack tonight so they could get out early tomorrow afternoon. (For grins and giggles, I plan to call during lunch tomorrow (7PM), just to see if they've left yet. Because, after 25 years, I KNOW her---she does NOT do "early" ANYthing.)

Got set free early, so I was able to get to the closest gas station ($4.10) during daylight hours to put enough in to get me to my usual station ($4.00), so now I have 3/4 of a tank, which will last me through next payday.

Tomorrow, I'll be going directly from work to Schnauzerland. S isn't the only one who needs to pack tonight!
