Although it seems like the only writing I've been doing lately is from prompts, the stuff that's already out there has been getting attention. I came home last night to a review of Knowledge is Power (http://vanillafluffy.livejournal.com/245126.html), last year's porntastic entry for
spn_summerlove. And all three of my Batfics* (posted at the Pit of Voles) have raised their numbers markedly since The Dark Knight was released. Interestingly, Surreptitious has had the most hits---and the summary makes it clear that that's more a Jim Gordon story than a Bruce/Batman tale. And Flying Towards Destiny...with the new Mummy film coming out, I'm not surprised that it's seeing traffic...I just wish I didn't feel so guilty about it---because I don't know if I'll EVER finish it. *sigh* It's 3rd most popular in terms of hits....
FF.net has a new feature that's messing with my head---it shows Reader Traffic---it does a breakdown of WHERE the readers are from, by country. (I knew who the hit from Estonia was!) Holy wow, so far this month, I've had hits from 28 countries outside the US. The English-speaking ones like Canada, Australia and the UK---okay, why not. But I'm astonished to see visitors from places like Malaysia, Chile and the Republic of Korea.
I'm pretending to myself that I'm an international best-selling author (even if there isn't any money in it, it gives me a much-needed sense of accomplishment).
