At the moment, my brain is trying to shut down...don't know why I'm so tired; it's not like I've actually been doing anything. Yesterday, I got home from church, spent most of the day tweaking my latest fic (html, mostly) and watching TV. I sat through parts of Ice Castles, which I thought was a dreadful piece of schmoop when it came out 30 years ago---and the fact that I can write a sentence like that gives me a cald grue---Tom Skerritt used to be quite the yummy bear, though. (Robby Benson? God, NO. Not even 30 years ago.)

Also in the Way-Back Machine, I've been trying to recall the year 2000. That was the year that H.W.S.N.B.N. moved in with me, and as I recall, I spent most of the year temping hither and yon. I *think* that was the autumn my late brother's ex-wife came down for a couple of weeks and since disappeared from radar. I was more into RPGs than TV, which accounts for some of the reasons why I never got into Gilmore Girls. The only reason I mention that now is because the other day, I was flipping around the upper edge of digital cable and paused long enough to see Jared Padalecki as jailbait, sporting a haircut that made Sam Winchester look downright well-groomed. *smirk* I may have to tune in more often.

Meanwhile, I was absolutely delighted to see Tamlyn Tomita on Heroes tonight. I've adored her ever since her stint on The Burning Zone. Speaking of which, the dude who played Hailey, the badass, in that is currently in a subplot on The Starter Wife, as a closeted action star. Yeah, the slash bunnies are cackling diabolically. And lest I be accused of neglecting the most important member of the team, Watchmen opens in less than 90 days. Yay!

Expect changes in my patterns of correspondence over the next couple of weeks. Starting tomorrow, I have to work 10-hour shifts. Mandatory overtime SUCKS.
