dayofindulgence:
Home to the yearly Day of Indulgence Challenge. We challenge you to write a fanfic that indulges in your secret kink, or your favorite cliche, or that one outrageous plot you've always been too embarrassed to try. This is your carte blanche to indulge, to throw aside fandom snobbery or secret fears or embarrassment. Write those characters in a situation that is maybe ridiculous or contrived or just plain old bizarre. Write the fantasy. Entries due February 25. (Thanks,
socialhermit, for pointing me to it.)
Also, this afternoon, I took myself to a movie matinee, because I HAD to see My Bloody Valentine 3D. Was made happy by the presence of a couple old veterans in the cast: Kevin Tighe (Raise your hands if you swooned over him in Emergency!) and Tom Atkins (I saw Halloween III: The Season of the Witch about four times because of him). There was more plot than I expected, and there was some actual suspense as to the culprit...the ending, however, will surprise no one. The 3D effects? Are excellent. (Come on, what's NOT to like about a larger-than-life 3D Jensen Ackles? Seriously.) And stick around through the closing credits, because there's an Easter egg at the end.
I'm decaffeinating, too. Haven't had any carbonated caffeine since about noon yesterday and am medicating with Excedrin as needed. (Took two at noon today, but am bearing up better than I would've expected. Here's hoping I don't come unglued at work tomorrow!)
