Yay!

I am less than 24 hours away from vacation! Woohoo, six days off!

Lounging around my living room this evening was very nice. Everything is different, but comfortable. There's light by my chair so I can see to sew---made a cushion cover out of a vintage dish towel during Criminal Minds (which was excellent, btw). The wicker throne is several feet closer to the TV but not in the way of anything.

And hopefully tomorrow I'll know what's going on with the Valentine dress-up at work. I went in on Monday and found out that instead of having management vote on it, there was a ballot posted for the whole center to vote, so it's going to be a goddamn popularity contest. *glares* Which sucks, because CLEARLY, I was the one who tried hardest. Most of the others, red top, big deal. One of them had a red top and oooh, pink argyle socks.

Not that I'm competitive or anything....

Sometimes, virtue IS its own reward

It's amazng the things you find when you're cleaning up. I've been experiencing episodes of "So THAT'S where that went!" for weeks, but today's was the best yet. Was merging aluminum cans from assorted bins in various rooms, and when I dumped the one in the dining room, I couldn't believe what landed atop the other cans---my copy of DeVour, which I've been looking for for months! (My god, that was a close call!)
