Carpe carp (Seize the fish)

I answered the phone a little while ago and it was S, who wanted to know if I'd like to join her in throwing a yard sale before the weather warms up.

1) I need money.
2) I'm trying to dejunk.
3) I really need money.

Etcetera. So I said yes. I already have next Friday scheduled off, and I figure most yard sales don't go much past 1, maybe 2 PM, giving me plenty of time to go catch a Watchmen matinee. Hopefully paid for with the cash I've raked in from the sale.

Since we're holding a clothes swap at church next month, I figure I'll pack up whatever garments are left and take them there, but this is a great way to get rid of all the other stuff that's too mundane for eBay. (Or I'll take it over to J's after we're done.) Since I already have several cartons of garb boxed up, I can concentrate on packing up tchotchkes.

Was talking with Bookmate (gal from work), who is going to give me the contact info for a guy who pays cash for books and will come and pick them up. She also wanted to know if I had a particular Anne McCaffrey that her mom wanted to read---I do, and I remembered to grab it off the shelf and stick it in my bag to take in today, go, me!

Oh, and speaking of work, I had a LOT of updates to read through when I got in yesterday, but one in particular was worth it---I won the Valentine dress-up contest! Got a $20 card to Target, definitely go, me!

I'm going to need more boxes.
