Title: The Ghost of Star's Hollow
Authored by: [livejournal.com profile] vanillafluffy
Pairing/spoilers: General for Gilmore Girls
Rating/Work-safeness: PG -- Not even much cussing
Approximate word count: 4500
Disclaimer: I swear I don't know what happened to Jimmy Hoffa.
Betaed by: [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl -- Many thanks!
Summary: A stop for coffee turns into mistaken identity and a case for the Winchesters

ExpandWhen Sam walks into the diner, all hell breaks loose. Or at least, as much hell as a small town in Connecticut can muster; compared to the real thing it's pretty tame. )

You Are Ballet

You are quite introverted. You enjoy keeping to yourself and cultivating your talents.

You are dedicated and focused. If practice makes perfect, you're willing to keep practicing.

While some people may dismiss you as boring, you can be quite edgy and interesting.

You can fit in almost anywhere... and your style ranges from conservative to funky.

Yesterday on the way to work, I snagged the stuff I need to touch up my roots, but by the time I thought of it last night, it was way too late. Oh well, no major hurry. The shade I use is close enough to my youthful color that it isn't a drastic line of OMG-ROOTS!

I posted the crossover in the wee hours of the morning and it's doing a brisk business. Believe it or not, [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl, the Flight of the Phoenix reference has actually gotten more comments than I expected! That's on LJ, though. I put it up as a crossover on the Pit of Voles, and it's NOT performing anywhere near what I'd expect. I'm beginning to think I'd be better off reposting it as straight-up SPN. Meh.

I've discovered that the American Life channel (digital, 152 on BrightHouse) shows original Mission: Impossible reruns in the wee hours. A bit dated, but still fun. Especially the other night, when I got to drool over Robert Conrad---back when he was 30-something---as a hitman. Oh MY. And I'd completely forgotten that that was what Leonard Nimoy did between Star Trek and In Search Of. Yeah, like I need another TV compulsion....

Today has been a day of rest. The service today at church was the Flower Ceremony: Everyone brings flowers and puts them in a communal vase, and we all take a few different ones home. I took in some white orchids from the tree in my front yard. I exchanged them for a pink carnation, some yellow mums and a couple palm frond bits of greenery---they're in little white vase on my kitchen windowsill right now---quite nice.

Hope y'all had a lovely Easter. I'm going to hit Walgreens for marked down chocolatey goodness bright and early....
