I've continuing to work on the far side of my bed/bedroom. I began on Monday with a purge of plastic bottles. Continued since then mostly with the area where the wall meets the floor, which means moving things.

Lest you have the wrong idea, we're not talking about a vast space---it's maybe 3 feet by 8---but twas cluttered with moldy magazines, books, clothes and STUFF, from candy wrappers to church programs to dust bunnies the size of jackalopes. I've had to shift a small round table, a chair piled with more stuff (yet to be gone through), and a low bookcase, ditto.

Beyond that is a second low bookcase (they match) which is right next to the closet, except I can't really GET to the closet because there are a half dozen boxes and piles of clothes in front of it. I've often used the example of a sliding tile puzzle as a simile for my mess---and this illustrates it perfectly.

I have umpteen boxes of books strewn around. Some of them are books by authors I've grouped elsewhere, but some are more random. I could really use another bookcase, and it just so happens I have an empty one in my garage. I had it earmarked for somewhere else, but that's just a detail---I need a solution for my bedroom NOW. This requires twofold exertion---first to clear a path to get it into my room, and then to get it there. And that's just one wall of one room...in a 1400 square foot house.

Happily, while I was shifting that bookcase around, I found my black bustier that I've been desperately wanting to wear under my black dress for the wedding---two weeks! Christo! A few missing books have come to light, and I found a very nice pair of black sandals I didn't even remember I had.

I'm trying to keep busy, partically so I won't be as annoyed that "Iron and Faith" has so little response. Note to self, maybe posting on day of show is NOT such a great idea.
