Title: An Answer to Prayer

Pairing/spoilers: Previous aired eps only.
Rating/Work-safeness: PG-13, Green
Approximate word count: 550

Summary: An angst fest. Dean's life weighs heavily on him; he's ready to resort to desperate measures to feel better about himself. How does that translate to a shopping trip on the morning of February 15th? You're only as sick as your secrets....

Trying to bury it all is like shoveling quicksand. But you try. )

Comments are shiny.

Yesterday afternoon was my appointment at the health department, which first meant finding it. Okay, now I know. Got there 12 minutes early despite driving around in circles for ten minutes (the result of having been raised by a man whose idea of 'on time' was twenty minutes early). I was subdued enough not to flirt with the PA, who took my BP twice after I told him what it was last time (148/110) and what the hospice nurse said about getting to a doctor. End result, my BP today was 120/88, perfectly normal.

Doctor was a putz...didn't ask him what backwater banana republic he earned his degree in, but was sorely tempted. He said BP can vary, and it would probably go up slightly if, for instance, he were to as me to make three laps of the building. Considering that the last couple times it was checked was either at Kat's doctor's office or by her hospice nurse, I'm going to conclude that STRESS was the active ingrediant. Doc certainly wasn't worried.

Posted a SPN ficlet this evening...I wrote it a couple weeks ago, so it isn't spoilery for tonight. Hopefully that'll get some comments.

Heard from Lambie Pie, who got calls about Kat from both Dr Bizarre and GK. Looks like she's going to be riding to the service with me. (Tentatively a week from tomorrow.) I also asked G if I could speak. I think I owe that to Kat.

Probably not the most coherent post I've ever made....
