Not too bad for a Monday
Jul. 2nd, 2018 09:25 pmI had an early appointment at my foot and ankle specialist...couldn't do it. I couldn't stir myself to get dressed; it was too early and I was too naked. So I cancelled, since I have an appointment scheduled for regular foot care in a few weeks.
Went to bed for a few hours. Woke around three p.m. to a voicemail request to call my bariatric counselor. I did. They've finally gotten the psych report! (So I'm not crazy, although considering how pissed I am at those idiots for wasting two months of my life, I might be a danger to others, fume-fume-fume....) Anyway, due to GK's schedule and sundry other factors, I'm looking at late September. That's annoying, but overall, not terrible, since by the time I'm back on my feet, the weather will be cooling down. It's a lot easier to get some walking in when it isn't 98 in the shade!
Went thrifting yesterday with GK. She made a point of reminding me of how little "fun" money I have, so I ended up dumping most of what I had...got a sleeveless top, a small gold-framed mirror, and an adorable sign of a puppy tearing down a clothesline--"Laundry Services--Help Wanted!". I have a couple other pieces of dog artwork hanging in my hall where the washer and dryer are, so that was too perfect to pass up.
Have I mentioned that GK has gotten a job? She's doing customer service for the local paper 4 or 5 days a week. The upside to this is, she's on this side of town, so she's picking me up for the movies--we're trying to make it a weekly thing. I think I saw more movies in June than I did all last year--at least it feels like it. Tomorrow, we're going to see "Sicario 2". I didn't expect her to want to see that one, but she said, "You had me at Benecio Del Toro.". Huh. Who knew?
I have coughed up two ficlets today. Go, me!

This link has ALL of the 43 original Three Investigators books in PDF format! The site is Russian, I think, but about halfway down the titles are given in English with links to the PDF files. This would be excellent for research/reference!
