The state bird is a funnel cake

I confess to a feeling of satisfaction with regards to holiday preparations.  LL's birthday is this week. I have something for her, I simply need to get it wrapped. Christmas gifts are pretty well taken care of. In addition to GK, I've got something for LL and Chica,  as well as GK's birthday present (week after Christmas). There is one other thing I want to pick up, but if I don't, it isn't a catastrophe. 

Everything is enroute, I've got my stash of goodies for baking...I have what I need to make treats for the ASFS holiday do. Hopefully I'll get the living room straightened up enough in the next few days to be able to drag in the decorations from the shed and prepare to make merry. (Addams Family flashback: "Suddenly I feel the dreadful urge to make merry...".) FLH is busy all week, so we've scheduled next Saturday for another session, giving me time to make more progress inside.

If I can get my butt out of bed, I'm going to spend a chunk of Tuesday at the movies--both 'Rambo: Last Blood' and 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' are playing at the second-run movie house that's relatively nearby. I've wanted to see them both very much, so half-price day, here I come!
