BTW, sighted a glorious ivory '60 T-bird while we were lunching at Fab 50's.

Was also insanely jealous of the pimply-faced little twerp wheeling an 80's Monte Carlo who joined two of his buds while we were there. Discovering that mere children have classier wheels than I do just makes me a green-eyed monster!

I know that feeling of car-jealous. Yesterday I saw a kid with a David Soul mop of blond hair leaving the high school driving a perfectly restored Mazda RX-7, the one from the 70s with the sun louvers on the back. It was that metallic burnt orange that was THE hot color then.

Mazda commercials---remember the Wankel engine?---"Piston engine goes boing, boing, boing, boing, but the Mazda goes hmmmm!" And while we were out and about, Kat said something at one point about, "Keep on truckin'", and that was good for a giggle of nostalgia.

I almost had an RX-3, back in the day---it was something my dad picked up cheap and was going to fix, but he couldn't find the parts for it, and scraped the idea. *pouts*
