As I was waiting for an email, I shifted a few things around on the bookcase behind my desk. In the process, I found several steno pads---my longhand repository of choice---including one with something I've been looking for for a very long time. Go me! That doesn't guarantee that I'm actually going to DO anything with the larger work as a whole, but I knew I'd written this scene and maybe if I incorporate it, I might get motivated. (Obscure, but not Yuletide. Story of my life....)

That's AFTER I do some post-beta rewriting on IT. (Not Stephen King's IT, but scary enough.)
