I know, right? I remember $1.25 matinees in high school---and that was at the first-run AMC multiplex. I also had a theater/drafthouse place that was a scant mile from home. When they finally closed down in the early 90s, their regular tickets were $2 and the Sunday matinee was 99 cents. Eight dollars for a weekday matinee? Highway robbery, and that's before the food rant kicks in. *eyeroll*
