It gave me the giggles--although that might have been partly out of relief at getting the darned thing paid. I think I may have set a record for blowing through a benefits check. An hour after it was deposited, I was down to 39 cents.
I'm doing a lot of deep breathing...that took care of car and homeowners, though, and the worst of the past-due on my water bill. Cable wanted more than I was prepared to pay, but I gave them what I could and had a talk with one of their CSRs, so they won't turn me off before my next check shows up.
I've noticed with helping out our social services clients that utility companies are more willing this year to take partial payments. I guess the new reality has started biting them hard too.
I was shocked Google didn't do anything for April Fool's (or if they did, I totally missed it).
Edited to add: I missed it. If you go to the home page and click on "New! Gmail Motion: Turn your email into a true body of work" it takes you to a page with 'instructions' on how to use your BODY to control your Gmail account.
