Sometimes, Yahoo will randomly display stories that are weeks out of date, as with the headline 'Rest of Amy Winehouse's European tour in doubt'.

Ya think?!

I distinctly remember a line in an ad for the live show Beatlemania stating that it wasn't the real Beatles. This was some time after John got killed. I still get kind of upset remembering it even now.

In a similar vein--all these touring oldies bands fighting who has the right to be the "official" version. Is it the founding guitarist who dropped out after the first album? The bass player who was around for albums one through three? The guitarist who was around from album three on and wrote their biggest hit? The vocalist who dropped out for album four but came back a couple years later? And these days, the drummer is in a new band, one of the guitarists does session work, the vocalist is amime, and the bassist wants the royalties but has a hissy when the *other* bassist wants to tour as the disputed band. Crazy.

Ok, am I totally evil since that made me laugh out loud?

Your comment about the original bands reminds me of a story my dad used to tell about George Washington's ax, the one he cut down the cherry tree with. The handle's been replaced 3 times and the ax head twice - but it's George Washington's ax!
