Oh, Clay, you bastard---I will *never* forgive you for this. You killed the character I got into this fandom for. I've crushed on William Lucking since 1975, I'm gonna miss the hell out of Piney, I'll never trust you again---although why I did in the first place...must be that sleazy charm---and Gemma is on to you. I hope she slits your throat---I think she loved Piney, too---but that's probably too much to hope for.
Grrr. Unfortunately, this show doesn't bring characters back from the dead, although I'm sure this is going to come back to haunt you, Clay, sooner or later....
