I'm thinking of planting some bouganvilla bushes, which are decorative and THORNY. Meanwhile, while waiting for them to grow, I'm considering chicken wire and punji sticks.
You're the one who turned me on to ReStore---you mentioned it quite some time back, but this was the first time proximity and money were aligned.
What happened with the curtains was, I was cruising the clearance aisle, where they had A LOT of curtains and bedding. Saw a striped one I liked, but there was only one of them in that pattern, and no info on the packaging about size or price or anything.
Wandered over to the regular curtain aisle, spotted something that looked just like the unmarked set...took it back to compare, and sure enough. Some pattern, some size package, and now I had a starting point: The ones from the non-clearance aisle were $17.97.
So I went to Customer Service, and asked what kind of deal they could make me on the unmarked package. A managr offered to take 20% off the regular pice as shown on the other package. Cashier rounded up a bit, and gave them to me for $14. Total for both was $33 and change, so I jumped on it.
It'll probably take me a few days to get things to where I can hang them, but when I got home, I compared them to the rest of the fabrics and am quite pleased. It'll certainly be a change from the off-white ones that've been up for the last ten years or so!
