Later, at the library

The lovely thing about libraries is, they have books. Okay, this may win me a couple of points in a "state the obvious" contest, but I've been without a library card for so long (long story, don't bother) that I'd forgotten that we've got a rather nice library here. I wandered around for a bit---if I'm going to spend an afternoon somewhere, a place with books and A/C is a winner.
Anyway, I rummaged around and found a copy of "The Gun Seller", and passed the afternoon quite agreeably. The narrative voice is possessed of a certain deranged genius, and I had to smother laughs which might have otherwise have earned me eviction from the premises. Definitely worth reading; I may even try to track down a copy just to examine the prose more closely.
Let's hope I don't have to go through this again tomorrow....
