Age is only a number

Yesterday as I was leaving work, I stopped to chat with the gal who bought my Le Snobbi bag. She was selling Girl Scout candy for her daughter (in my day, it was just cookies), and there was a tin box shaped like a book, which I admired. One of the gals in the vicinity said it would be a great place to keep one's stash in. I'm a respectable old lady these days, I said. I haven't had a stash in years*.

At which point, several people asked how old I was. Guess, I coaxed them. The results were, 34, 37 and 38. I smirked genteelly and admitted to being on the shady side of 40. Given that I'm actually 48, I'm apparently holding up rather well!

Now I need to go fetch my check and begin the merry whirl that is my weekend....
