That was fun---mostly.
missybrat and I went down to Viera. Had lunch at Steak'n'Shake, which was fun. (Hey, I'm always up for a burger, cheese fries and a chocolate Coke or three.) They let me have a pink cardboard '57 BelAir Chevy, which is going to live on top of my 'puter when I put it together.
Less fun was getting to Target a few minutes later and panicking because I couldn't find my wristlet. Acck! We called S'n'S---the number was on the receipt---and the manager kept saying "Bear with me, bear with me!" which did nothing to calm me down whatsoever. We drove back there and lo and behold, there it was in the parking space we'd vacated, contents intact, having apparently fallen out of the door pocket. Guh. Dumb blonde luck.
Then Mb decided that I really needed to be introduced to World Market, which is right around the corner, and we ended up spending about an hour wandering around there. Evol woman! The place is like Pier One with exotic groceries, and I ended up with a bagful of impulse stuff. We discovered that Mb does not care for CHowards violet candies---which I adore and can seldom find---she thinks they taste like perfume. Didn't find Marmite---probably just as well, considering how sodium-sensitive I am these days---but I got a wee jar of ginger jam, because how scrumptious does that sound?! and chocolate-covered sunflower seeds, another loved-but-rarely-found delicacy. So I have numminess to get me through the week....
We finally got over to Target, where I tried on a great little light heather grey jersey skirt---unfortunately, it was a little TOO little, in the sense that I would've flashed all and sundry any time I tried to enter or exit a vehicle. Rats! Did find a fun little notebook to replace the one I've been carrying in my purse---it's almost full and getting kinda ratty. This one has a picture of an old-fashioned manual typewriter on the cover, and in a font that looks like typewriter keys, it says "NOTE TO SELF". I am easily amused; now I just have to copy the pertinent bits from my old notebook: phone numbers, books I'm looking for, etc.
I can't believe it's almost 7. I need to check TV listings. Kings comes on tonight, and I want to see that---Ian McShane is always worth watching!
