My bad....

Most of what I've eaten today has been ice cream (Moose Tracks, to be specific). The best thing that can be said is that there is no ice cream left.... A quart of ice cream...oh God, how? (One spoonful at a time, distracted as I read Plum Lovin'....) I feel like I should pose for one of those pictures of rodents with their cheek pouches crammed with food. Gluttony is a close second to sloth as my favorite deadly sin...lust is a distant third.

Speaking of lust, as usual, reading Evanovich had me contemplating one of my favorite fictional hunks, namely, Ranger. Which led me to try to list the three fictional guys I'd most like to shag. Ranger easily claimed #1 for Literary Stud Muffin. John Winchester beat out Jools Siviter as TV Stud Muffin (because I think he'd be more fun, although I'm sure Jools has some interesting...proclivities and I wouldn't say no---I wouldn't dare!).

Movie Stud Muffin is more difficult; El Mariachi is a strong contender (Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Riddick (Pitch Black) is another (like Jools, I'm sure it would be quite an experience)---the trouble is, I have a tendency to go for bad boys. Like Riddick, the Kurgan (Highlander the original movie---because Clancy Brown's voice makes me melt!) is high-testosterone, but much worse for one's health than quarts of ice cream. The Christian Bale version of Bruce Wayne, maybe?** (Patrick Bateman? suggests the little voice that likes the bad boys better.) This will take some earnest contemplation.

Okay, ladies, who are *your* fictitious shaggables?

I read a lot, so mine would come from books mostly: Akardy Renko from the Martin Cruz Smith series that started with "Gorky Park" and John Rebus from Ian Rankin's series. I guess I like moody, intellectual romantics who are good at puzzles and can beat the piss out of the bad guys in a pinch.

I also find Jeremy Irons' turn as Simon Gruber, the terrorist/gold thief in "Die Hard with a Vengeance" to be *ahem* quite compelling. Okay, so a great Euro-trash accent makes me go weak in the knees. Terrorism and strappy t-shirts never before looked so good! :)

Yeah, I will admit that the imports frequently outnumber the domestics as far as guys I really lust after. It's the accent. Not ANY accent, but if a guy comes across as having a few brain cells rubbing together and isn't a demonstrably an asshole, and he sounds exotic...um, what was I saying?

And it's been true my whole life, when my earliest crushes were Roddy McDowell and Vincent Price. (Yes, I *know* VP was from Missouri, but still. He sounded English. Or at least Shakesperian.)

*blinks*

Is that a young Patrick Bauchau in your icon?

*shrieks and does Snoopy dance* YES!!! That is indeed the lucious Mr. Bauchau. I've had a Thing for him that dates clear back to *blush* Kindred: the Embraced. He was the primary reason I first tuned in The Pretender, and I squeed loudly and with gusto when he showed up on House as Rowan Chase.

You're the first one to notice. Kudos to you!

I *love* Patrick Bauchau. I especially love his voice. And he's still teh sexay, even at his present age. They don't make 'em like him anymore, sadly.

God, yes---that virile, velvety Voice...and yes, as far as Older Men Who Still Have IT, he's up there at the top of the list (which also lists Sean Connery, on his good days).

Okay, ladies, who are *your* fictitious shaggables?

Let's see...John Winchester for sure. Dean Winchester a close second. Then we have Damian Thorn (talk about your ultimate bad boy!). House, of course, and/or Wilson. And I used to have a soft spot for NCIS Special Agent Jethro Gibbs. ;)

As dreamy as Dean is, I've been around too long...there's quite a list that would intervene between John and Dean as far as my preferences go. (Although if we narrowed it down to *current* series, yes. Definitely.)

TV guys: Any of the Winchesters. Spike. Angelus.

Book guys: Roland of Gilead. Akkarin probably too.

Movies: Eh... I don't know. Anakin Skywalker is pretty hot. Gerard Butler as Dracula 2000 was...ah...gah. Don't even get me started on Legolas, Faramir and Aragorn. (there are more, but my mind has ODed just now.) :)

Yeah, it's the potato chip principle---bet you can't pick just one! So MANY pretties! You wrote my mind has ODed, and I immediately thought "Oded Fehr!" (Ardeth Bey in the Mummy films)...whom I've slashed with John Hannah, who's not exactly hard on the eyes either....

Brandon Frasier (how is that spelt again?) is easy on the eyes too. And don't get me started on Joaquin Phoenix. Or Liam Neeson. Or Gabriel Byrne. No, really. Potato chips are fine with me. :)

Yes to all of the above! (And it's Brendan Frasier.) And a goodly chunk of the PotC cast: Depp, Bloom, Rush and Davenport are each quite tasty in their own unique ways. Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan, together or individually---although if I had to pick just one, Bean! I've been mad for the man ever since Patriot Games (to the point that I have to remind myself that he *isn't* Irish).

Yeah, but in Sean's case, it's usually because he's playing the eVil bad guy---and good always triumphs---Jeff's on more of a Noble Hero trip---or at least a victim of circumstance.

My Number One shaggable fictitious dude would be Michael (Mikhail) Gallatin in "The Wolf's Hour" by Robert R. McCammon. He's a British spy (of Russian origins) during World War II and he's also a werewolf. Heh!
